Inovasi Layanan Sistem Informasi Aplikasi Guru Surabaya (SIAGUS) Dinas Pendidikan Kota Surabaya

Abstract

Technological advancements have spurred innovation in public services, including education. This article discusses the Surabaya Teacher Application Information System (SIAGUS), launched by the Surabaya Education Office to streamline teacher administration, such as promotions, performance allowances, and permits. The study aims to analyze SIAGUS implementation and the role of interns in verifying teacher performance documents. Using a descriptive qualitative method, the research involved student interns in the Teacher and Education Personnel Division (GTK). Results indicate that SIAGUS enhances service efficiency through its online system, though challenges like teachers' lack of technological literacy (gaptek) persist. SIAGUS also supports Surabaya's Smart City concept by providing accessible services. However, socialization and feature updates are needed for optimal use. In conclusion, SIAGUS is an innovative breakthrough in educational services but requires more intensive user support. Recommendations include enhanced training and periodic evaluations to maximize the application's potential.
