Abstract

Job training programs are a strategic effort to improve the competence and competitiveness of the local workforce. However, their implementation still faces various challenges such as limited industry involvement and a mismatch between training materials and labor market needs. The aim of this community service activity is to optimize the implementation of job training programs at the Department of Manpower and Transmigration of East Java Province. The methods used include direct observation, interviews with department officials and training participants, and documentation studies of program implementation data. This activity is also supported by a SWOT analysis to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the ongoing training programs. The results show great potential in utilizing collaboration with local industries and the need to improve the quality of instructors and training facilities. Furthermore, aligning the training curriculum with industry needs can increase employment absorption rates. Strengthening monitoring and evaluation is also crucial for the sustainability of the program. In conclusion, optimizing job training requires synergy among stakeholders and dynamic program adjustments in line with the evolving labor market demands
