PELAYANAN SIAK DALAM PROSES PENGAJUAN KARTU IDENTITAS ANAK DI DINAS KEPENDUDUKAN DAN PENCATATAN SIPIL KABUPATEN GRESIK

Abstract

In the digitalization era, population administration services are required to be more efficient and adaptive, one of which is through the implementation of the Population Administration Information System (SIAK) in the issuance of Child Identity Cards (KIA). The purpose of this activity is to examine the implementation of SIAK services in the KIA application process at the Civil Registration Office (Dispendukcapil) of Gresik Regency. The method used was community service through a 30-day internship program, involving preparation, implementation, and monitoring-evaluation phases. The author was directly involved in the resident registration services, submitting KIA via the SIAK website, and interacting with the public. The results showed that the intern gained a comprehensive understanding of the service procedures, applied academic knowledge in practice, and identified key challenges such as limited infrastructure and low public awareness of KIA's importance. Supporting factors such as free services and collaboration with schools accelerated program achievements. In conclusion, SIAK has significantly supported the modernization of population services but still requires improvements in infrastructure and public education. The outcome of this program is expected to contribute to enhancing the quality of public services, particularly in the field of population administration.
