Abstract

A country has the goal of improving the welfare of the people within it. Among the things that concern people's welfare are public services. Gresik Regency tries to provide good and quality services to the community by continuing to innovate to provide fast, responsive and accurate services. The author uses qualitative descriptive methods. This method was chosen because qualitative research aims to study phenomena originating from situations, subjects, actions or situations that occur in the internship environment. During the internship at the Population and Civil Registration Service in Gresik district, the author helped in the population registration section, interacting directly with people who are especially interested in applying for a National Identity Card (KTP), what is the performance system at the Population and Civil Registration Service, whether the quality of service is appropriate or not. as in the theory Delivering service quality: Balancing customer perception and expectations, Valeria A. Zeithami, A. Parasuraman and Leonard L. Berry (1990) service quality is categorized as RATER (Reliability, Assurance, Tangibles, Empathy, Responsiveness) After doing an internship at The Gresik Department of Education can conclude that the KTP making service can be said to be quite satisfactory because the service is very effective. The importance of ensuring easy access and efficient registration processes for the public. This will reduce bureaucratic obstacles and increase population compliance in registering or making KTPs.
