ABSTRACT
The internship at the Social Service Office of East Java Province in the disaster management division aims to provide the author with practical experience in understanding the mechanisms of aid distribution and response to natural disasters. During the internship, the author was directly involved in data collection, coordination with various parties, and the distribution of aid to victims, which enriched their knowledge of disaster management procedures. Interaction with Social Service staff, volunteers, and affected communities allowed the author to understand the challenges in disaster response while fostering empathy and social awareness. Thus, this internship not only contributes to the author's personal development but also enhances the effectiveness of disaster management at the local level. The outcomes of this activity are expected to serve as a reference for the development of future internship programs and strengthen collaboration between educational institutions and the government in disaster management.
