Abstract

Internship activities at the East Java Provincial Research and Innovation Agency provide students with the opportunity to apply the theories learned in lectures into real practice. During the internship, students are given the freedom and responsibility to carry out their tasks such as inputting data, understanding innovation strategies, and understanding intellectual property rights. However, there are several obstacles that hinder students' understanding in carrying out their duties, such as limited access to information and communication problems. Even so, this experience is expected to encourage students to continue learning and contributing to the development of the regional innovation ecosystem. By being directly involved in Brida's education and socialization programs, students can see the importance of innovation for the welfare of society and the importance of applying IPR to an innovation. This experience is also expected to help them with practical skills and relevant knowledge for the future.
