Social inequality is still a global problem that affects groups of people with social welfare problems
(PMKS). This service aims to analyze the role of the Sidoarjo PMKS PRS Center in social rehabilitation
and empowerment of PMKS. The method used is descriptive qualitative through participatory observation
and interviews with social workers during the 40-day internship program. Data was collected through
direct involvement in center activities such as skills training, spiritual guidance, and social assistance. The
results of the service show that the center carries out rehabilitation services through initial assessment,
physical, spiritual, and skills coaching programs, as well as facilitating client discharge, despite facing
challenges in the form of limited human resources, facilities, and a complex discharge process. In
conclusion, the Sidoarjo PMKS PRS Center has a strategic role in the social recovery of PMKS, but needs
institutional strengthening, improving officer competence, and developing a post-discharge support system
to make social rehabilitation more effective and sustainable.
