Abstract

ABSTRACT 

The implementation of the internship at the Surabaya City DPRD Office consists of several stages, namely, introduction to the internship location, direct practice in the field, data collection, and preparation of the internship report. The internship program carried out by the author is manifested in an internship report as a form of student observation from internship activities carried out for 40 working days. This internship activity aims to fulfill the MBKM curriculum and provide students with an opportunity to apply the knowledge and theories they have acquired at college. In its implementation, in the first week the activities carried out were an introduction to the internship environment along with studying the profile, duties and functions of the Surabaya City DPRD. In the following week, students are allowed to participate in and/or help with staff tasks within the DPRD environment. Apart from that, students also took part in plenary meetings with members of the DPRD. Not only plenary meetings, students can also take part in listening meetings with the community. The internship activities carried out at the Surabaya City DPRD Office have three areas in assisting the DPRD, namely, the general area, the meeting and legislation area, and the information and protocol area.
