Optimalisasi Pelayanan Terhadap Penyandang Masalah Kesejahteraan Sosial Pada UPTD Liponsos Keputih Surabaya

Abstract

People with social welfare problems such as street children, homeless people and beggars need special attention from the Surabaya city government. Therefore, People with Social Protection Problems (PMKS) must be fostered and empowered, including through education and a decent living, so that they can benefit from a better quality of life. UPTD Liponsos Keputih is a unit under the auspices of the Surabaya City Social Service. Social security problems require the presence of the government to solve problems and meet the needs of people experiencing social security problems (PMKS) according to their duties and functions. In this case, social problems related to homelessness, beggars and street children make Liponsos a tool to develop, serve and control the population with social welfare problems by meeting their needs which have an impact on changing their personality and behavior for the better. The aim of this research is to find out how PMKS services are carried out by UPTD Liponsos Keputih Surabaya. This service uses a descriptive implementation method approach, with the results of observations, interviews and using the case study method. A case study was conducted to analyze PMKS service procedures at UPTD Liponsos.
