Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide an in-depth understanding of the dynamics of efforts to return and recover assets of corruption in Indonesia and provide relevant policy recommendations to overcome the existing challenges. Corruption is a significant problem in Indonesia and has had a widespread negative impact on development, good governance, and social justice. Efforts to fight corruption involve not only taking action against perpetrators, but also returning and recovering assets obtained through criminal acts of corruption. The research method used in this article is literature study, literature study and internet searching with data collection techniques obtained from journals, scientific articles, literature reviews, textbooks and including previous research studies. The results of this study state that First, it must conduct asset tracking, the goal is to find out what corruptors have and where to store it. Second, carrying out an asset confiscation, so that corruptors cannot distribute their wealth. Third, confiscate assets resulting from corruption that has been committed. Fourth, the return of assets previously confiscated but not the result of corruption.
