Abstract

Increased progress in data and correspondence innovation of which the internet network is a part. When using internet-based applications, information in the form of personal data becomes a reference. Protection of personal data in the context of personal protection based on Article 28G paragraph (1) of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia has not been regulated in a different law. Given the large number of misuses of individual information that does not fit the first title, for example, the business of trading individual information, the need for direct information assurance close to home with different laws is very important. Individual information insurance game plans are still managed independently by several laws that do not explicitly control the security of individual information. Assurance of individual information is important because it includes confidence and opportunities for articulation. The security of individual information, if there is no regulation by law, can harm a person through the dissemination of personal data. The purpose of this study is to analyze the protection of the right to privacy of personal data from a human rights perspective. The research used is normative research that dissects and explores legal sources. From the results of the investigation, the concept of protection of personal rights is the full right of the individual and its performance is not based on the rights of others, but if the owner wants to make personal data available to the public, that right is lost. is likely to be affected. The person who has that right may not share all of his personal life information. Lack of understanding of the laws and human rights that fully regulate the privacy of personal data that exists in Indonesia can increase the possibility of violating the privileges that have been set by residents on the guarantee of individual information.
