Wacana Seksisme dalam Pemberitaan Mansyardin Malik dengan Marlina Octoria

Abstract

The existence women is not a new thing in cyberspace. The main factor women are used objects news in the mass media is a subject to gain media popularity and increase news ratings,
especially the news about women presented controversial news. The news that is considered controversial the news regarding the case Mansyardin Malik. There are many mass media reporting this case using language that does not have a gender perspective. This study aims determine discourse sexism the online news page edition 13-16 September 2021. The methodology used this study is qualitative research method with critical discourse analysis approach of Sara Mills. The object this research mass media reporting with total unit analysis 7 sentences. The results showed that Marlina the text seemed have no authority over her own body because she was willing to be made a sex slave by her husband after being divorced. Medcom.id also described that it was as Marlina was woman who had no self-respect, by reporting that her profession as an adult magazine model deserved to be treated in such a way by Mansyardin. The researcher also hopes that this research can be developed by other studies using different analytical methods.
