Persepsi Komunitas Game Fortnite Terhadap Konsep Animasi Dalam Konser Travis Scott “Astronomical”

Abstract

The development of digital communication media is now supporting the development of industries in various fields, both marketing and entertainment, which are growing rapidly. The entertainment world itself is used as an alternative strategy to get closer to fans, both through status and artist development. One of them is Travis Scott. The development of the rap music he displayed had an interest in the Fortnite Game developer to collaborate with him to enter the epic game. This collaboration has created a variety of perceptions among members of the Fortnite Game community in Surabaya for the sensation at a concert titled astronomical. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive type with data collection methods including observation, interviews, and documentation. While the data analysis methods used are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. In accordance with the research conducted, it can be concluded that the sensation of the concert shown shows negative and positive perceptions. Negative perception because it is considered intimidating community members who cannot watch astronomical concerts and positive perception is interpreted as creativity that is out of the box in the entertainment world. When viewed from the celebrity worship level, the Fortnite Game community in Surabaya is at the level of social entertainment.
