ANALISIS FRAMING TERKAIT PEMBERITAAN PENGATURAN SKOR IBL 2021 DI JAWAPOS.COM EDISI 29 DESEMBER 2021-1 JANUARI 2022

Abstract

After the case of match fixing in the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) in 2017, it turned out to not be a situation that became a lesson for some players. In 2021 there was another case of match fixing in the Indonesian professional basketball league in the 2021 season. The match fixing in the 2021 IBL was carried out by 6 Indonesian professional basketball players. This study aims to find out how the framing is related to match fixing news in the 2021 IBL regular season. The methodology used in this study is a qualitative research method with a framing analysis approach to the Robert N Entman model. The object of this research is news about match fixing from the online media JawaPos.com. The result shows that JawaPos.com frames this case by highlighting that match fixing is an action that must be dealt with firmly so that it does not happen. Similar cases in the following IBL seasons, this is because this kind of action not only harms the players themselves, but also the image of basketball and related organizations. Based on these results, the researcher hopes that this research can be further developed by other researchers using different analytical methods.
