This study is a study that aims to describe how the film “13 Reasons Why” Season 1 narrates mental disorders. This film airs on a platform called Netflix and can be watched by the whole world. This research method is descriptive qualitative. Qualitative research aims to understand a certain phenomenon about what is experienced by the research subject, in its entirety by means of description in the form of words and language, in a special natural context and by utilizing various scientific methods. The analysis used in this research is a narrative analysis model. Tzvetan Todorov. Tzvetan Todorov says that all stories begin with a balance where several potential contradictions are trying to be balanced at a time. The data obtained in this study are data obtained directly from the observation of the Netflix Series film entitled "13 Reasons Why" season 1. The data collection techniques used in this study were observation, documentation, and literature studies. The object of this research is the film “13 Reasons Why” Season 1. Using narrative analysis, the researcher finds that the film “13 Reasons Why” Season 1 narrates a person with mental disorders through Clay Jensen's character who often hallucinates and also has anxiety problems.
