Peran Humas PMI Kota Mojokerto (Studi Deskriptif Kualitatif Komunikasi Persuasi)

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of PMI Mojokerto Public Relations in increasing
awareness of the Perning village community regarding the importance of donating blood. From
the results of this study, in general it can be seen that the lack of public awareness of other
communities makes the blood stock at PMI often short. The lack of blood stock at PMI
Mojokerto City can be seen from the lack of public education about the importance of donating
blood. This study uses a qualitative method, because the data obtained is in the form of a
description of the role of PMI Mojokerto Public Relations in increasing public awareness. Data
collection techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. By
using persuasive communication theory, the research results obtained are the strategies used
by PMI Mojokero public relations in increasing awareness of the Perning village community
regarding the importance of donating blood, namely Strategy of publicity and Strategy of
persuasion. The implications of the results of the strategy research applied by PMI Mojokerto
Public Relations in increasing public awareness regarding the importance of blood donors,
namely knowing what the benefits of blood donation are and the increasing interest in blood
donors from the Perning village community. For future researchers, it is hoped that this
research can be a source of reference and inspiration to continue and develop similar research.
