REPRESENTASI PATRIARKI DALAM FILM YUNI

Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze the scenes that contain signs of patriarchy in the film "Yuni". By using the representation research method, this research is useful for exploring, interpreting, as well as marking, values and forms of patriarchy and is also based on the study of Stuart Hall's representation theory, especially the constructionist representation theory of the semiotic approach. The researcher analyzes that the film "Yuni" has many patriarchal elements, especially those that are felt around its environment. Verbal violence in this film is represented in the form of scenes saying insulting, degrading self-esteem. In this film, not only Yuni, who feels the injustice of the patriarchy, but also her friends are also victims.
