Strategi Unit Pelaksana Teknis Dinas (UPTD) Tugu Pahlawan dalam Meningkatkan Minat Pengunjung di Museum Sepuluh Nopember Kota Surabaya

Abstract

This study aims to clarify in detail the strategy that the Museum will use on November 10 to attract tourists to visit the museum. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects of this study were museum curator staff, tour guide staff, administrative staff, and tourists who visited the museum on November 10. The research tool is the researcher himself. Data collection methods are interviews, observation, and documentation. Test the validity of your data using triangulation techniques and methods. Based on the results of the survey, we can conclude that: (1) The museum on November 10 has several strategies to attract visitors, namely (a) the Treaty of the Ten November Museum, (b) the Dwitunggal Exhibition, (c) the Goes To School Museum ), (d) Collaborating with the Onthel Bike Community, (e) Buddy Museum Ten November. (2) The supporting factors and inhibiting factors of the Ten November Museum include: Strengths: (a) the Ten November Museum is a museum that has a collection of struggles, (b) The entrance ticket price is affordable for all circles of society, (c) Can be used as educational and research tourism (d) Have programs or activities that involve the community (e) Have a strategic location. Weaknesses: (a) Low Human Resources (HR), (b) Lack of Utilization of social media for promotional media, (c) Service Standardization, (d) Lack of Creativity. Opportunities: (a) Advances in Science and Technology (IPTEK), (b) Government Support, (c) Cooperation Relations. Threats: (a) the socio-cultural conditions of the community that consider the museum unattractive, (b) the number of attractive tourists, and (d) low public awareness of historical heritage.
