Abstract

Humans are the main movers in an organization with a superior and a subordinate. Especially a boss or leader who must have a leadership style and this is needed in a public sector organization, one of which is the Village Office led by a Lurah who has a role in the successful implementation of public service activities in the community. Not only that, a Lurah must be able to provide comfort to his employees by paying attention to the problem of employee job satisfaction. This study aims to determine the leadership style and to determine the leadership factor of the Lurah in providing job satisfaction for employees at the Kelurahan Office. This study uses a qualitative research type with a descriptive approach while the research location is at the Baratajaya Village Office, Surabaya City. Based on the results of research conducted, that the leadership style of the Lurah in the Baratajaya Urban Village Office, Surabaya City uses the autocratic type of leadership style. So that the Lurah has obstacles in providing job satisfaction to his employees which is a supporting and inhibiting factor in responding to a sense of satisfaction and dissatisfaction within his employees.
