Abstract

The Cooperatives and Small and Micro Business Office of Sidoarjo Regency has an important role in advancing the community's economic system, especially those included in the home-based business category or MSMEs, so that it is expected to present the real reality of most of the welfare and prosperity of the community, especially the Wedoro sandals and shoes MSMEs which are currently experiencing a decline. number of SMEs. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The results of this study provide the fact that the role of the Department of Cooperatives and Small and Micro Enterprises in developing MSMEs as a Regulator, Dynamist, Facilitator, and Catalyst still has advantages and disadvantages. The conclusion obtained in this study is that the Cooperative Service has carried out its role in developing MSMEs, especially in Wedoro sandals and shoes MSMEs quite well. by researchers.
