Abstract

This study aims to determine how much influence the democratic leadership style has on the performance of the employees of the General Elections Supervisory Agency of East Java Province. To achieve the objectives of the research, the primary data collection technique used questionnaires that had been distributed to the General Election Supervisory Agency employees who were used as research samples. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using simple linear regression analysis techniques that have been tested for validity, reliability and normality tests. The results of the analysis of this study indicate that the democratic leadership style has a positive effect on the performance of the General Election Supervisory Board of East Java Province. The conclusion in this study shows that the regression coefficient value is (1.160) with a significance value of 0.000 less than 0.05 and the t arithmetic value (9.341) is greater than t table (1.669). Thus, it can be concluded that the hypothesis in this research is that democratic leadership style has a positive influence on the performance of the employees of the General Elections Supervisory Agency of East Java Province.
