Analisis Jaringan Komunikasi #KesetaraanGender Sebagai Aktivitas Digital di Twitter dalam Meningkatkan Kesadaran Tentang Kesetaraan Gender

Abstract

The issue of gender equality is widely discussed on various social media. Feminist activists actively voice their opinions through various digital activities on various social media, such as twitter. Today, activists no longer only voice their opinions by taking to the streets, but also using social media. In this study, the discussion focuses on the communication relationship that occurs on Twitter using the hashtag #KesetaraanGender in building awareness about gender equality. The purpose of this research is to find out the existence of digital activity on Twitter and also to find out how #KesetaraanGender can build awareness about gender equality. This study uses the Social Network Analysis (SNA) method using the netlytic.org web tool to retrieve data while to analyze the data using the gephi 0.9.2 software. This study uses the theory of Computer Mediated Communication (CMC). Based on the data obtained, there are 693 tweets containing #KesetaraanGender. With the calculation results that have been obtained using netlytic and gephi 0.9.2, there are several Twitter accounts that have a great influence in the distribution of information about gender equality through the results of tweets, retweets, and replies.
