Abstract

Public Relations or Public Relations which has an understanding, which is part of the company that acts as a liaison between the company and the community and establishes good relations with the community. Every activity carried out by DPRD Prov. East Java has always been in the public spotlight, therefore publications are needed so that the public knows everything related to Council Members. Public Relations or Public Relations section publishes through the mass media is needed in order to facilitate the delivery of information about what is related to the Members of the Council, through the news that has been published in the mass media will form opinions among the public. The purpose of this study was to find out how and the obstacles in the process of publishing news through mass media carried out by the PR or Public Relations sub-division of Documentation at the Secretariat of the DPRD Prov. East Java. The location of this research is in the PR or PR sub-section of the Documentation and Information Department of the Provincial DPRD Secretariat. East Java. The object of this study and research is the PR or PR activities of the Dokinfo sub-section in publishing information through the mass media to the public at the Secretariat of the DPRD Prov. East Java. The method used in data collection is by observation, interviews, documentation and. Data were collected and analyzed using descriptive qualitative methods. The results of this study, namely PR or PR, sub-division of Documentation, is closely related to building relationships with the community and one of its activities is publication.
