EFEKTIVITAS PROGRAM PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT BUMDES WAGE (Studi di Desa Wage Kecamatan Taman Kabupaten Sidoarjo)

Abstract

Community empowerment is a development process where the community has the initiative to start a social activity to improve their situation and condition. Community empowerment can only be done if the community itself plays a role and participates in these social activities. One of the programs currently active in Wage Village, Taman Sub-district, Sidoarjo Regency is the "Wage Shining" BUMDes Management Training/Assistance program in the MSME Development Business Unit by experts carried out by the Wage Village community. Based on observations made at the research site prior to the Covid-19 pandemic in Wage Village, Taman District, Sidoarjo Regency, it has diverse and active community empowerment, but since the Covid-19 pandemic that has occurred until now, community empowerment has immediately stopped until now due to community empowerment. these cannotbe managed anymore due to inadequate costs and lack of human resources. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive case study approach which is intended to explain and describe the problem carefully. The technique of collecting data is through interviews with several informants who are considered to be able to provide clear information regarding the effectiveness of the community empowerment program (BUMDES) in Wage Village. In addition to interviews, data collection techniques are also in the form of observation and documentation.The results of the study also show that the effectiveness of the Community Empowerment Program in Wage Village is already effective, but there is still a need for program adjustments which were delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
