Abstract

Quoted from KAI.id based on a press release from PT KAI, in 2021, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) will continue to strive to increase the company's resilience during the economic recovery amid Covid-19, which is still endemic to this day. KAI will take various steps to digital transformation, organization, and business processes. Adaptive steps are realized by continuing to innovate, adapt quickly, and make improvements following technological developments and efficiently. Over time, technology has many benefits for humans in various fields such as information, education, business, and communication. One technology that is currently being developed is Augmented Reality (AR). Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that combines objects from the real world and virtual or virtual objects in real-time conditions. In this study, an Augmented Reality-based miniature local train application is proposed. The application was created to implement local train route information in virtual form and provide train users with information on train departure and arrival times. The method used is Marker Based Tracking. Train tickets are essential to support the workings of the Marker Based Tracking method to display virtual animations. Passengers can use the smartphone camera to identify the QR Code on the train ticket then a virtual animation will be automatically displayed.
